Whether you’re a traveler with sore shoulders, a digital nomad in need of a break from your laptop or simply in the mood to treat yourself, do yourself a favor and check into the White Rose Spa for a few hours. You may well love it so much you’ll return for seconds the next day – a couple of guests I chatted to in reception were doing exactly that.
Stepping into the spa reception I felt the zen wash over me – adorned with plants, pretty lanterns and trinkets, they’ve not skimped on creating that spa atmosphere some places can overlook. Feet swiftly dunked into a little herbal footbath infused with lemongrass, I sipped on a cup of tea and nibbled ginger candies. The tea is made on site at the spa every morning from ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon and honey; it’s super tasty
Take Your Time
Give yourself a good ten minutes or so to peruse the treatment menu, the friendly staff are very knowledgable about the services and will chat through the different options.
I was intrigued by the Bamboo massage but opted for an Asian blend massage, body scrub and wrap. The scrub was thoroughly applied but gently enough that it didn’t take me long to drift off, taking in the delicious scent. Coupled with the wrap, my skin felt buffed and glowing for days after the treatment.
In due course my masseur tackled my troublesome shoulders with vigor, she knew exactly where my (many) knots were, and dealt with them expertly.
The Wash Up
White Rose Spa ticks all the boxes of a good spa – soothing music, gentle lighting, attentive staff. What makes them special are all the little touches – both practical and relaxing – like light refreshments between treatments and a check sheet to confirm the preferred strength of massage (really helps smooth over any language barriers). Handily for tourists, they also offer a free pick up service from your hotels so you can arrive in air-conditioned style.
The hours I spent there wafted by. As someone who struggles to relax and switch off – at White Rose Spa I finally managed to completely lose track of time, the mark of the perfect spa session to my mind.
The staff really went out of their way to ensure no (hot) stone went unturned and for me the experience was top notch – even writing up this review I can feel that light-headed post-spa glow returning. This lovely team has clearly worked hard to earn their top-rated position on Trip Advisor. With impeccable customer service and expertly trained practitioners White Rose Spa’s high rating is absolutely deserved.
White Rose Spa is a luxurious choice for your recharging session, yet it is competitively priced with massages costing 380,000 – 590,000 vnd.
