Vegetarian restaurant, Minh Hien 2, opened in March 2016. It’s a kissing cousin of the original Minh Hien on Tran Cao Van – same owner, same menu – and from the get-go the quality has been especially good. With extra effort and attention to detail in the kitchen, this inexpensive vegetarian restaurant is great value for money.
The Hoi An Family has been often since the opening for the healthy, yet tasty, vegetarian delights on offer. The lightly curried pumpkin and the wonton soups are favorites and the very spicy salad of green banana, mushroom, various greens, bean sprouts and chili is a knockout – literally.
Minh Hien 2 has left its bohemian setting of Minh Hien 1 on Tran Cao Van behind for all-indoor, bright, shiny, butter-colored surroundings with large windows. But at Minh Hien 2 the owners’ gentle spirituality permeates the service and is part of a package that’ll make you want to return.
Minh Hien 2 is the perfect combination of an established menu that is well prepared with effort and spirit that attends dedicated customer service. It’s great value for herbivores and omnivores alike.
