We have done our best to provide thorough and correct information regarding International Drivers Permit country eligibility for Vietnam. However, things change and are sometimes not widely circulated. Please double check with your country to ensure the information provided is still current.
Vietnam only recently (2015) joined as a signatory of the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffics to recognise IDPs within Vietnam. Many policemen still do not know what it is.
Only those listed countries are able to hold an IDP for Vietnam.
