Many expats have prescription glasses made in Hoi An. If you do not have a prescription, it is not a problem. They can work out your prescription from existing glasses or they can do an eye test. Generally, the eye test is free. The turnaround process is quick. Mine (copied from existing glasses) were made in under an hour. It could take a couple of days however if they have to send away for a specific type of lens.
Below is a rough price guide of what you might expect to pay. Be aware some shops will charge more. Prices also vary (quite widely) due to the type of lens and frame you choose.

Dr Chi (Da Nang)
Dr Chi has good English and comes highly recommended by a Korean eye specialist working as an NGO in Da Nang. Her clinic is near Da Nang train station and whilst she is a paediatric ophthalmologist, she is also skilled in treating adults.
Eye Hospital Da Nang
The hospital provides medical examinations and surgery from Monday – Friday. On Saturdays patients can get medical examinations only. There is no need to make an appointment. Just go to the right hand side of the entrance where you’ll find an English speaking attendant. Choose the pink form and opt for the fast track service which costs 100,000 VND. Head up to the 5th floor where they do the examinations.
