TALKS at Hub Hoi An
May 23 @ 6:00:00 - 9:00:00
The Hub Hoi An presents ‘Talks,’ a free monthly community event.
Each month introduce three inspiring people who share moving personal narratives and stories.
This month they have the pleasure of three wonderful community members sharing their stories:
Canadian born Alison has taken Vietnam by storm by opening central Vietnam’s first refillable concept store. Not only do they offer you the opportunity to refill your everyday products like dish soap and detergent, but the products they offer are also environmentally minded and at a price that makes them affordable for everyone. She juggles this with looking after her gorgeous 4-year-old daughter. Alison will share her stories of setting up a business in Vietnam as a woman, a mother, and a general badass human.
Pete’s Luxury Wholefoods
Peter Gluckstein is better known around Hoi An and Da Nang as “The Granola Guy.” His granola, trail mix, and granola-jack cookies have become familiar sights on mini-mart shelves and in cafes (the Hub stocks the cookies!), and he hopes his products will feed locals and expats alike across the length and breadth of the country in a very short space of time. Peter is going to talk a little about his journey and explain how starting a marketing agency in London, travelling the world with a 2-year-old and a pregnant wife and starting a completely random business in SE Asia are not only NOT brave, or even crazy – but surprisingly risk-free!
Bridget is a visual artist working in a range of traditional mediums. She’s been making original artwork for people who love Vietnam since 2012. Bridget has published four books about Vietnam and opened a contemporary art gallery in Hoi An in 2017.
Please share with your friends, spread the word, and RSVP if you plan to attend. We look forward to seeing you all at the event.
