MASSAGE HOI AN STYLE: A Quintessential Vietnamese Spa Experience
Not sure what to expect from a standard Vietnamese massage in Hoi An? This humorous article will give you all the information you need.
Pure Beauty Spa
The recently opened PURE Beauty SPA is primarily a Beauty Treatment Centre. As well as the usual massage, manicure and pedicure services on offer, there is an extensive array of treatments to be enjoyed using next-generation high tech equipment, all delivered in a pristine and professional environment.
Coral Spa $-$$
In the midst of An Hoi’s crowded “Spa Alley” lies Coral Spa – a place that could easily be overlooked but one that’s well worth seeking out. Because what Coral Spa offers is more than your average massage. Walking in here is like visiting friends, ready for an afternoon of giggles and chats. A fun setting in which you can slip off your shoes and settle in for some superb service.
Five Senses Spa $ – $$
Five Senses Spa is, and always has been one of my favorite Hoi An spas. The reason? Simply put, they employ the best masseuses in town and once you find your dream massage why go elsewhere? That is why I, like many other regular customers, keep coming back year after year.
Citrus Health Spa $$
The day I went to Citrus Health Spa was blustery, with that kind of misty rain that accumulates on your glasses. It was dark, gray, and downright dismal that day which was why, when I walked into the spa, it was like stepping into a lemon grove of pure warmth and light.
Pandanus Spa $-$$
Considering Hoi An’s confusing profusion of spas on every corner, Pandanus Spa is a standout. Owned by husband and wife, An and Anh, this little place is clean, relatively cheap and provides a consistently good massage. So good in fact, that this reviewer, after paying, walked home with glassy eyes and her shirt on back to front.
The Magic Spa $$
If you want the feeling of visiting a lavish spa without having to splash out for gold décor, The Magic Spa could be just your spot. This place is all about the pampering so get their silk robes on and enjoy the magic hands of their masseuses.
If you’re looking for a reasonably priced quality massage in a place where the atmosphere and calming ambience is one of a resort day spa then Palmarosa Spa is definitely worth a visit. Using 100% natural ingredients, their healthy range of treatments includes facials, body scrubs, massage, foot massages and manicures. They also have a crèche.
Hoi An Blind Massage Center $
There’s no fancy towels, floating music or wafting oils but it’s clean and for $5 you can get one of the best massages in town and it won’t be just your body that feels good when you walk out. Your blind or partially-sighted masseur, who would battle without your patronage, will get a boost too.
La Luna Spa $$
Soft music, trickling water and lovely Sunny (Tram) on reception welcomed me into La Luna Spa, a place that felt a world away from busy Bà Triệu outside. While reluctant to reach for the usual massage spa clichés, I really did feel like I’d entered an oasis of calm!
Na Spa Escape $$
Na Spa Escape does what it says on the tin; that is, it allows to you escape. Unlike the countless massage joints that populate Hoi An’s Old Town, this place provides a true retreat. Set in the middle of...

Emotion Spa $$
What makes an excellent spa experience? Discretion? Atmosphere? Professionalism? Great service? Emotion Spa offers all these things – and more. Their five-star TripAdvisor rating is well-deserved and though I have personally visited more than my fair share of spas, Emotion Spa is edging towards my all-time favorite.
