Accident & Emergency

Hoi An Guide | Healthcare in Vietnam

Emergency Hoi An!  Let’s hope you never need this section but if you do, here is all the important information you will need to know.

Ambulance

Ambulance: get a taxi! In Hoi An ambulances can take a very long time to arrive.  If it is possible, grab a cab.

Emergency: go to the Pacific Hospital, it has an international wing however, their prices are inflated and there has been a fair amount of disgruntled tourist feedback.  As soon as practical, we recommend you get to a Da Nang hospital.

    • Hi Hanah, The post you read was ‘Emergency’ and as Dr Mitchell is the only liaison the Family Hospital has for Westerners it wasn’t included. On that same post however is a menu at the top which includes ‘Hospitals’ and many other health related topics. You will find details for the Family Hospital in ‘Hospitals’ along with other hospitals. And yes, it is different from the Family Medical Practice. Hope this helps.
