Hoi An

One Love

Reggae bar, One Love, is Hoi An’s premier late-night venue for many. It’s a welcome chill spot for those who prefer to chew the fat over pool and Bob Marley rather than scream and rage, stomp across table tops or stagger in a trance at a dance club. Everyday prices after midnight are a bonus.

A little away from the Old Town it can sometimes be quiet at One Love but on recent visits it was nicely peppered with companionable good folk who intermingled and made for a fine time.

One Love also takes advantage of its late-night profile – it stays open most of the night if there are willing drinkers – to host major sporting events from Europe and the US that often screen in the wee hours. There’s big screen football on every night. Thus, One Love provides an interesting alternative to the three dedicated sport bars in town.

In an effort to attract punters before midnight a 6pm – 11pm Happy Hour is firmly in place. Beer Pong, occasional karaoke and Jenga play second fiddle to the pool table but Bob Marley’s “One Love” sums up the spirit of the bar: One Love! One Heart! Let’s get together and feel alright.

And, it can really party if the stars are aligned.
